Who we are
Stump Grinding Durham is a free quote service. We connect Durham-area homeowners with independent local stump grinding and tree companies for free, no-obligation quotes. We do not grind stumps or remove trees, and the companies you hear from are separate businesses, not part of this site.
Information you give us
When you use our quote form, we collect what you choose to enter: your name, phone number, email address, ZIP code, the service you're interested in and any details about your stumps or trees. Only your name and phone number are required. We don't ask for payment details, Social Security numbers or passwords, and you don't need an account to use the site.
Cloudflare Turnstile and form delivery
The quote form uses a Cloudflare Turnstile check, which may process technical signals from your browser and device to tell people from bots. When you submit, your entries go to this site's own code on Cloudflare Pages, which verifies the check and delivers them to us by email through Cloudflare Email Routing. No third-party form service stores your submission. Cloudflare processes that data under its own privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, which pages people visit and how they find the site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and the page that referred you. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. You can block or clear cookies in your browser, or use Google's opt-out browser add-on, and the site will still work.
Hosting data
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any host, Cloudflare processes standard technical information, such as IP addresses and request logs, to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
How we use and share your request
We use your details only to respond to your request. We pass them to one or more independent local stump grinding or tree companies that serve your area so they can contact you about a quote. Once a company has your details, its own privacy practices apply. We don't sell your information for unrelated marketing, and we don't publish it.
How long we keep it
Quote requests are kept in our email for as long as needed to handle the request and for ordinary business records, then deleted. You can ask us to delete your request at any time.
Your choices
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or tell us to stop passing your request on. Contact us by phone at Call (727) 300-6656 or by noting your request in the quote form.
Children
This site is meant for adult homeowners and property managers. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. For how the service works, see about us.
